Our Admissions Coordinator will process your referrals to Select Specialty Hospital - Downriver quickly and efficiently. An on-site evaluation of the patient will be completed by a Clinical Liaison within hours of the referral. The Clinical Liaison is your personal contact to Select Specialty Hospital. They will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the services we provide. Once an admission decision has been determined, the patient can often transfer the same day.

Medical Director

Roderick J. Boyes, M.D., our Medical Director, is board certified in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine. He is also certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine,and Diplomate in Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Boyes serves as Clinical Associate Professor at Wayne State University and the University of Michigan.

In addition, Dr. Boyes is a Clinical Intensivist in Critical Care Medicine at Oakwood Hospital.

Community News

During the summer of 2007, our dedicated and generous employees participated in the American Cancer Walk at Heritage Park in Taylor, Michigan. Our efforts raised $3000 for the American Cancer Society. We have lofty goals for this year's event!

Every year we participate in the Michigan Harvest Gathering through the Michigan Health Association to collect non-perishable food items for our local food banks. The food drive is held annually in November.
